There has been an update to the American Stock results. 8/7 1:11pm.

Why was the 16 of childress put in 10th?

Help me out here Aaron cause I am a little confused, and these questions are NOT against ANY of my competitors or ANY official. 1st off, in the American stock main, wasn't the car #16 and car #17 at least one lap down? They did go off the track for various reasons during the race. And 2nd, I didn't see the #78 on tech pad. In fact, there were only 3 cars on tech pad, The #44, The #40 and the #79 so I am a little confused why the #78 is being shown where he is. shouldn't he have been on tech pad as well ? I appreciate you looking into this Mr. Aaron. Thank you.

The #16 was a lap down for causing a yellow. The #17 was on the lead lap, having gotten back on the track during the yellow caused by the #55 for spinning the 17.

The #78 was 5th place. The 4th car on the tech pad was supposed to be the #12H but they did not go to tech and thus were disqualified.

The 17 came up lame in turn 4 with a flat tire from what I saw. The caution came out because 17 was completely stopped in turn 4 I thought. As soon as the caution light came on the 17 started moving again and exited the track to change the flat. Maybe I missed something but I thought the rule was if you stop on the track and bring out the caution because you have a flat you lose a lap.......

As it was explained to me, the cause of that particular yellow was the 55 spinning the 17. They've been trying throwing a yellow due to rough driving to put the cause to the back, so the 17 lucked out on that.

17 drove quite aways around the track with that flat and I saw no contact from 1 all the way to turn 4 where 17 came up lame then brought out the caution and drove off to change the flat..... I am pretty sure 17 pulled the same move as 16 to go off and change the flat.
