Help with hobby

hey i was wondering if any of ya'll hobby stock drivers could help me out chasis wise, my car is fast motor wise but set-up wise its definately out dated i think, so any suggestions would be very helpful i would like to compete with these other cars that run up front

what springs and shocks do you have?

front tires 2 off wheels. 225 left front 235 right front
rear offsets change depending on the track 235 on right side 225 on the left side.
left front is always at 16 psi
right front between 26-28 psi
For a wet or tacky track you move the RR tire out and the LR in. For a dry track do the opposite, move the RR in and LR out. for example:

heat race : tacky
LF: 2" b.s. RF: 2" b.s.
LR: 3" b.s. RR 2" b.s.

Main : dry
LF : 2" b.s. RF : 2" b.s.
LR : 2" b.s. RR : 3" b.s. w/ 1/2" spacer



you could loosen even further for heat by adding a spacer to the RR, and you could tighten even further for main by adding a spacer to the LR.

what about distributing weight cuz ive seen alot of the johnson cars have there weight in the back where the rear loop bars cross, my rear bars go striaght back and theres cross whats the advantage in that and should i move my weight from behing my seat to the back

Bought a Hobby from out of town and it has an aircleaner cutout in the hood with the air cleaner sticking out about 1 1/2 inch... would that pass tech in Bakersfield?........ also headers?

No, headers aren't allowed for a hobby.

We can't cut holes in the hood for air cleaners either, you could probably pop-rivet a piece of metal to cover and close the hole though.
