My name is Andy and I sell bare Chevy engine blocks (BBC & SBC.) I pull them out of junkyards, clean them, check them for cracks, and sell them. I usually sell them for $250-$400.

These are absolutely bare castings. Sometimes, I sell them just like they came out of the junkyard (greasy and dirty.) I usually hang on to them for a couple weeks. Eventually, I strip off all the hardware and take them to a machine shop. The machine shop thermal cleans the block and does a mag-check for cracks.
